About the role
The Dew Removal Volunteer plays a vital part in keeping our bowling green healthy, safe, and ready for play each day. By removing morning dew and light debris, you help prevent moss growth, reduce disease risk, and maintain excellent playing conditions throughout the year.
• Remove morning dew from the bowling green using the specialist lightweight dew brush provided.
• Clear light debris, such as leaves or twigs, to ensure the green is ready for play.
• Work carefully to avoid damaging the turf, especially during damp winter conditions.
• Monitor for reformation of dew on wet days and report any concerns to the Greenkeeper or Committee.
