Craft Group Volunteer

The Community Hub is looking for friendly, creative volunteers to lead our crafts activities and help make them a fun and relaxing part of people’s week. These sessions offer a welcoming space where community members can try new things, express their emotions, and enjoy the well-being benefits that come from getting hands-on with art. Crafting has been shown to lift mood, build confidence, reduce stress, and help people feel more present, and your support can make that experience possible for everyone who takes part.

As a Craft Group volunteer, you’ll take the lead in running sessions while also being part of a supportive team. You’ll guide participants through different creative activities, offer encouragement, and help them feel proud of what they make.

The role is practical, people-focused, and perfect for someone who enjoys sharing their creativity and helping others feel comfortable and inspired.

If you can spare a few hours each week and would like to make a positive difference to some of the most vulnerable people in your community, we’d love to welcome you into our volunteer-led team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare Crafts sessions, involving volunteers in the planning process where possible.

Motivate individuals attending the group to develop their craft skills and assist them with the creation of their projects.

Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

Helping with setting up and tidying before and after the group
