Retail Assistant

Our aims:

To support those most impoverished in our community by sharing community donations of household items and clothing
To share skills with the community
To provide basic cooking skills to our community
To upgrade laptops for the benefit of those in our community.

About the role:

As a volunteer you will recognise how valuable your role is when you see how many people are assisted by the simplest of action.  As a team all our members enjoy volunteering.  General helping: sorting donations/tidying up/ welcoming donators. What we are looking for is a few volunteers who have a few hours spare that they could help us.

On Saturdays we are open 9 till 2pm. During this time a steady stream of people arrive with household donations and clothing which we receive and sort.

On Saturdays volunteers at present comprise 4 adults and 5 DOE students.

The role for all volunteers to share on Saturdays is to
Welcome donators and assist them bring in items from their nearby parked car
Sort donations into bags marked male female children bedding blankets or shoes and put them into order in their respective places. To bring in any other items and sort them into their area.
Wash and dry dishes and keep the area tidy.

On Mondays we are open from 10 -4. During this time we have 3 adults present.

We need  4 volunteers from 10-12  on Mondays Tuesdays and Thursdays to help take out donations and tidy up.
