Make it Happen Team: Social Media/TikTok Youth Volunteers

Do people always tell you that you’re scrolling too much on your phone? We have a role for you! Put those scrolling fingers to good use and join us as a Social Media Volunteer!

We’re looking for young people who want to help us to shine a positive light on local young people and talk about the benefits of volunteering!

About us:
Our youth volunteering programme, Make it Happen, supports and guides young people facing personal barriers, helping them grow in confidence and find meaningful opportunities to participate and reconnect with their communities through volunteering. We work with young people across East Renfrewshire aged 12-25.

Things you can take part in:

Developing a plan for launching and running a TikTok account

Supporting others to create engaging and fun TikTok content that celebrates young people and their achievements

Developing regular social media content for other platforms eg, Facebook that showcase local young people and volunteers in a positive light and promotes our project activities to others in your community

Researching and sharing information about local youth clubs, activities and events

Keeping up with social media trends to make content fresh, relevant and engaging while growing our online presence

You can do the stuff that you’re vibing with! We’re pretty chilled here and want to do everything we can to support you. We’d also love it If you had ideas for things we hadn’t thought of but, there’s no pressure. As long as you’re into social media and want to volunteer, we’re here to support you every step of the way!
