Community Transport East Renfrewshire
Community Transport East Renfrewshire are looking for drivers for their people carrier and mini bus. Drivers will pick up in and around Barrhead and Neilston on a Thursday afternoon (1pm-4.30pm) to bring the members to Afternoon Tea at Barrhead Centre.
Drivers for people carrier must have a full clean driving license and drivers for minibus must have the same but also D1 on License.
Who we are:
The charity aims to provide a volunteer driver service for disadvantaged people in East Renfrewshire to be able to attend hospital and medical appointments using volunteer drivers own vehicles as well as a VW caddy vehicle with a rear ramp and a wheelchair accessible people carrier (8 passengers) with rear tail gate. The project also has a 13 seat mini bus with rear tailgate. The three vehicles are also used to provide assisted shopping trips, an afternoon tea service and are available to hire for individuals, Voluntary Groups as well as community groups for low cost. The charity also runs these services and manages a group of volunteers to provide this.

Drivers need to come to office at Thornliebank Resource Centre to collect address sheets then pick up members in and around Barrhead and Neilston and return home when afternoon tea is finished.
