Role

Sales Assistant

Group / Organisation

IM2C The Bike Hub

About the role

We're looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals to volunteer as Sales Assistants at the Bike Hub. In this role, you’ll often be the first point of contact for our customers, offering a warm welcome and helping them with sales enquiries. If a customer’s question is mechanical in nature, you’ll liaise with our team of skilled Bike Hub mechanics to ensure they get the support they need.

While previous cycling knowledge is a bonus, it’s not essential — full training will be provided. What’s most important is a positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner
  • Handling both cash and card transactions accurately
  • Setting up and packing down the Hub before and after each shift (typically 6 hours If suitable)
  • Sharing information about our work as a charity and the services the Bike Hub offers
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service at all times
  • Upholding health and safety practices and keeping the Hub clean and tidy
  • Occasionally supporting off-site events, such as Dr Bike sessions in the community
  • This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and passionate team, all while helping to make cycling more accessible to the local community.

If you're interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you!
