Then Simple Breathing Techniques and Meditation can Help!
You may be wondering why “just” breathing can be so powerful. Slow breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, also called the “rest and digest” system.
Breathing techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing/full yoga breath therefore promotes relaxation, reduce stress.
So Why Meditate- we all have very active minds, often referred to as our monkey mind. Our minds are always active, therefore decisions that we can make in our life are absolutely connected with our mind. Therefore, if our mind is chaotic- we make decisions based on this state.
As we meditate, we concentrate on something, music, a mantra, affirmations to encourage our mind to become more calm, more still - to allow one’s state to become more in harmony.
And then we make decisions - decisions very different from when we have a busy mind.
So, if you want to practice quietening your mind, reducing stress with breathing techniques and meditation, to become true to your inner self .. come join us on a Tuesday evening from 7.30pm -8.30pm.
