Account
General
Please select all that apply. This helps young people understand whether this is mainly a social activity or a service offering support or advice.
Let young people know more about your group and activity. Give a short, clear description of what the activity is like. Focus on what usually happens, the atmosphere, and what young people might enjoy about it. What does a typical session involve? Is it relaxed, structured, creative, active, social, quiet? Do young people need any previous experience or skills? (If not, say so.)
Please include age range and any other relevant details (for example, whether it’s open to everyone, e.g. all ages or aimed at specific groups)
Please include whether the activity is free, has a charge, or if support is available to help with costs (for example, concessions, free places, or equipment provided).
Please include how often the activity runs and what time it usually takes place. If times vary, are flexible, or change during holidays, please explain. It’s helpful to say how long a typical session/meeting lasts and whether young people can arrive late or leave early.
Location
Let young people know more about the place where the activity happens. This could include what the building is like, how to get in, and anything that might help young people feel prepared before they arrive (for example, accessibility, entrances, parking, or public transport, e.g. nearest bus stop)).
Contact details
On the day
Let young people know if they need to bring anything (e.g. equipment, food, drink) or wear anything specific. Please also say if it’s okay to come without these, or if alternatives can be provided.
Where possible, please describe the first visit in a reassuring way. This could include who will welcome them, what usually happens, and whether they can choose how much to take part or whether they can bring a friend or supporter
Please include if there is a named youth worker or support worker that young people will meet or can contact beforehand. If available, you can also include a photo to help young people recognise a friendly face.
